We, the family of Ulric Frederick Bourque, are saddened to announce his passing which occurred on April 11, 2015 in Santa Cabrini Hospital, Montreal, P.Q. He had just celebrated his ninetieth birthday.

Ulric was born in Lewisville, Moncton on March 12, 1935 to Walter and Doris Bourque and spent his formative years in D’Escousse, N.S.  While still a young man, Ulric moved to Montreal where he resided until his passing. He taught school until his retirement in 1993 specializing in music education and was much beloved by his students. His two great passions in life were music and cooking and he excelled at both. He could play virtually any musical instrument.

Shortly after moving to Montreal, Ulric met his partner, Andre Huard, with whom he remained for forty-three years.  Ulric and Andre had a happy life and were devoted to each other until the end.

Ulric was predeceased by his parents and his best friend and sister-in-law Elizabeth Bourque. He is survived by his only sibling, Walter and his cherished nieces, Susan (Graham) Miles and Holly (Paul) Chisholm. He is also survived by his three grand-nieces and grand-nephew, Hanna, Emily, Nicole, and Cameron.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service as per Ulric’s request.
